Born as sails and transformed into nautically inspired designs, these wine totes have soaked up the sun, salt, smiles, and adventures of their past lives, making them the perfect addition to summer picnics, backyard barbeques and days by the beach. About the designer:
Sea Bags is a locally owned company based in Maine that has been creating beautiful bags crafted from recycled sailcloth for over 20 years. Each Sea Bag is meticulously designed, sewn and finished by skilled Maine craftspeople on the working waterfront in Portland, Maine USA. Each donated sail is carefully selected and cut, taking into account unique stitching details, grommet holes and, occasionally, treasures like tell-tales. Each sail panel is completely unique with hand-spliced rope handles and skilled stitchers finish the bags with great care. The materials for each bag comes from Maine first, New England second and USA third. Sea Bags uses one of the last remaining thread manufacturers in the U.S. and one of the few rope manufacturers in New England.
